Blog Carnivals
Carnival of the feminists
[via Bitch | Lab : Call for Carnival Submissions]
You have until the 20th to submit your entries for the Carnival. Suggested themes are :
1. The personal is political
2. The virtues of being mouthy
3. Sex positivity
I wonder though, how they will be managing multiple entries from a group blog like ours.
BTW : I had offered to Melinda Casino of SourDuck to use our calendar as one of the places where the carnival could be announced. She never got back to me. Now she*** Melinda Casino is complaining about her ranking is going to slide in Technorati even after getting linklove and traffic out of the carnivals. Well, this is the most perfect time to revisit my post on how to make good blog carnivals better.
Feminist bloggers need to start thinking more tactically. When working on the statement against John Roberts, Morgaine of The Goddess bitch-slapped me with a fantastic scolding : You sometimes cannot choose your allies. This was when we were mired on some thing or another about the document. I have to tell you, it was the best piece of political wisdom anybody has slapped me with in the 4+ years I have been blogging and more than 20 years I have of political activism.
Tell Morgaine, I luvssss her for it.

Spread our words : Submit your posts to a blog carnival
A good way to promote yourselves and the blog is to submit your posts to Blog Carnivals. Even though I have already written about how blog carnivals could become even more effective tools for networking all participants, the truth is, as they stand, they are still great at raising people's profile.
Here are some that come to mind :
Radical Women of Color Carnival
Help us make a list of blog carnivals we should be looking at. Help us grow this list. Are there any technology, education, culture, health or science carnivals we should be looking at?

The Carnival of the Feminists is up at I See Invisible People | Carnival of Feminists XIII. Lorraine submitted her article, I am failing my race.
First off, I think carnivals are a great way to condense every months what's happening around the different blogospheres that are popping like corn all over the web. But by the way they have been developed, I have never felt they actually are that effective after the carnival is done.
Here's my reasons why :
