Holy fucking shit, look at this hot president! Goddam!

So am walking down the street with my friend Barbi and we see this magazine store with tons of them with Obama on the cover and I say, "isn't it nice to have a good-looking president in the white house?" But then when we walk past the store and look back we see the cover of Men's Health Journal and all we could say was "Goddman!" And what was funny was that a blonde chick walks by us, see us squealing and she stops to say : OMFG that IS one hot pic of the president.

So not getting used to this "change".

From my Flickr feed : Holy fucking shit, look at this hot president! Goddam!

The New Yorker gets it right

As I blogged here recently, the Republic is having a Rome moment; now, The New Yorker sums up the feeling on this week's cover.

I knew it would be bad, back during the 2000 campaign and after the Supreme Court coup; how bad, nobody could have foreseen.

QUOTES

You don't need a poll to know that the vast majority of Americans--Republican, Democrat, and Independent--are weary of the dead zone that politics has become, in which narrow interests vie for advantage and ideological minorities seek to impose their own versions of absolute truth...Perhaps more than any other time in our recent history, we need a new kind of politics, one that can excavate and build upon those shared understandings that pull us together as Americas.

— Senator Barack Obama
