The social media revolution is coming to the business world

From familiarity to usage to importance, social media is far more prevalent in the Inc. 500 than previous research would predict. And where these fast-growing, innovative companies lead certainly the corporate world will follow. The social media revolution is here. That opens up more opportunities for the entire ecosystem.

It must also be noted that blogs are becoming more international than could have been expected. In summary, blogging takes time, commitment, and honesty. In return connections are made that are personal and strong. Blogs are not a fad. They are no longer even an option. Those businesses that choose to remain outside this online conversation, will be sidelined. Eventually they will become extinct. The hype is real.

Michael Sandy : Cyberstalking and gay bashing taken to a whole different level

Michael Sandy collage, by Keith Boykin

I always like to point out to people that withouth human interaction no matter how many machines you have, without people, there's no reason to internet. The internet is nowadays another form of human expression. What makes the internet a new media is the fact that, it is as much a means of communication as a place, a geography, a domain, a hangout. It can even be a whole way of life.

Unfortunately for Michael, it brought him death.

Michael was picked up at a gay chatroom where he was lured to a "date". He was brutally attacked by 3 men; so much so that Michael died because he ran into a highway and fell victim of a hit-and-run car.

Two of the attackers have been charged with second degree murder.

On Monday there was a rally to call for more action and resources from City Hall and Albany.  Bejata and  Blabbeando have all the details. Don't forget to read the moving tribute posted by Keith Boykin.
