Hmmm...
I think there is reason and there is reason.
First off, the "Spanish Inquisition" statement was a joke. I didn't expect that statement to get a rise out of anyone...and believe me I do put in statements to get rises out of people.
Second, I am in essence defending something I don't believe myself. I have little in the way of faith. But I look at some of my collegues who do who DO think through the interaction between faith and and science. My statement was regarding how they viewed that interaction: that what they learn from science is compatable with their faith because they view it as god's method. To me there is indeed a logic and thought in that view even if it is not my logic. I am comfortable calling their way of reconciling faith and science as reasonable.
