Politics are not the answer for black people, never have been, never will be. Been knocking on that door for too long now...nobody has answered...STOP knocking!
This is not to say that some well-meaning but, misguided, black people have not attempted to promote change through these channels but...c'mon people...it aint workin'
I would also like to add, that black people are NOT a monolith. There is room for a plethora of opinions, discourses, methodologies, and passions in the struggle...HOWEVER...there is no room for self loathing and the loathing and mistrust of other black people.
Excuse me?
Several of those "fat, lazy, decadent Democrats" served in Iraq. Most of those flag waving Chickenhawk Republicans who are so anxious to send more Americans to die for Bush's lies never did serve.
And you still haven't answered: Why are we in Iraq in the first place? Why, other than billions in Halliburton and Exxon/Mobil profits, are our soldiers dying in Iraq? And, while we're at it, where's Osama bin Laden, the guy who actually attacked America?
The simple answer is we never had a real reason, other than Halliburton and Exxon/Mobil profits and to feed Bush's sexual fantasies, to invade Iraq.
Come up with some new talking points, Mr. Chickenhawk. Because the old ones aren't working anymore. America has stopped believing them and voted out of office many who were unable to move on. Notice how many Republicans in Congress are suddenly anti-Iraq quagmire? It's because they realize an endless war with no exit strategy will never be popular among American voters for very long. There is increasing bipartisan opposition to the war. There is decreasing, almost exclusively right wing extremist, support for it. Are you feeling lonely yet?
