I don't know how you do it

I don't know how you do it moiv, seriously, showing up every single day for women and young girls, and educating people too, you singlehandedly teach so many so much.

It's still appalling and amazing that so many aren't aware of so much. When I first started making comments here on CK some people didn't, and still don't, know who Democrats for Life is or what their agenda is.

The 95-10 initiative is seen as a good thing, blows their minds that pro-lifers would put forth such a seemingly positive bill for women and young girls.

You must get worn out and discouraged that oh these many years later people are still so unaware. And this is what it comes down to for me, this is a comment I made on My Left Wing about the presidential candidates. My 'litmus test' but that's not accurate, a litmus test is usually one issue, this war against women, the care crisis that has been ignored for forty years is not just one issue, it's every single issue that falls behind where women deserve to be and should be in this country.

It's the fuckingass elephant in the room.

I'm back to what I said last January when watching the senators, who had clearly not prepared, at the Alito confirmation hearings, none of you will get my vote to be the president of this country until the common good of women and thus their children is at the forefront of your campaign.

UNICEF came out with a report that placed the US at the bottom of children's welfare. Women in poverty make up 42% of the single mother households. This is the only industrialized nation that does not have subsidized daycare. Equal pay, equal education for our children, domestic abuse, violence against women, take your fucking pick, choose one, just one.

The list goes on and on. It's the fuckingass elephant in the goddamned room and NO ONE says a fuckingass thing about it. Betty Friedan called it the 'problem with no name.' How far have we come since her Feminists Mystique was published? Not a goddamned inch, a fraction of where we need to be and yet women still do not have the equality that is due us.

I'm fuckingass pissed off and the Democratic leadership or nonleadership has my disdain, they fuckingass make me want to spit in their faces and that goes for all the presidential candidates of late. They have begun to utter the words poverty and the poor but they still REFUSE to talk about the lives of millions and millions of this country's women.

We're good enough to give birth to the children, if they are indeed 'the future' then rise up and do something, pass laws that make women equal to men, in the workplace, in the home and on the streets, or you will NEVER get my vote.

I'm fuckingass sick and tired of waiting, being shushed, told to hold on, that women's rights will be addressed. It's like Harry Reid said yesterday about Iraq, women's rights will still be there, we'll get back to them when we can. Hell, they were never there to begin with with women's rights.

Fuck Harry Reid and the Democratic leadership who never sees its way clear to talking about a single one of the issues that effect women's lives, sometimes in heinous ways, fuck em, they will not get my support, my endorsement, or my vote until women's rights are at the forefront of their campaigns.

They shouldn't have made me mad, now there's hell to pay. Huge mistake, fuckingass huge.
