Almost all Americans are descended from immigrants...even if they speak English. The swipe was at the "English-only" anti-immigrant movement in the US that is generally made up of people who forget they are natives. None of the languages mentioned are indigenous and it serves to emphasize the hypocircy of most anti-immigrant Americans.

Remember, in the words of a Texas state legislator of many years past: "If English was good enough for Jesus Christ, it's good enough for the boys and girls of Texas."
