I was wondering about this, though I have to admit I am pulled so many different ways that I had no chance to follow up on it.

I would think that the place to start on that is with politicians from areas with a high Native American population. Here's a list of recently elected Native Americans who might be interested in this issue. That might be a good place to start. Congress Critters in Western states also might be worth contacting.
