The Protocols of the Elders of Zion was a piece of Tsarist Russian propoganda to stir up anti-Semitism. It was supposedly a work written by Jews on how to take over the world. It was the origin of the "International Jewish Conspiracy" myth. It was later shown to have been written by the Tsar's secret police. Some still believe it was true and use it as evidence that Jews are plitting to take over the world.
