Bravo, David!
I'm so glad you're here. All those numbers are impressive, but I've got to think of simple things. Like what to tell the kids I know, who will be asking me when they are a couple of years older, about "what happened?" Previously, I knew a child who was studying history and got to something about the various presidents. He came to Nixon and said he didn't know what happened. It was hard to explain, because I thought of his civics book and it had little to say about the constitution. I guess you had better books in your school, because you've got it right.
Okay, somewhere I've said this before and maybe you read it. We need a primer for young folks (well not so young that none can vote) which will outline the simple procedure of impeachment. Many of us old folks complain about how even bloggers are not fully aware of the principles of checks and balances. Since 2004 I have read too many opinions in cyberspace of "us or them," like a Friday night high school football game. Do you have any idea of how a short video or comic sketch or just simple text--something--could make "executive privilege" into a dirty word?
