Mike, you ,Sir, are no Bill Clinton
Huckabee's elbowing into the governorship is itself controversial. Why he thinks he can play a rerun of likable Southern is enough to place doubt in his critical thinking. The ordained Baptist, the limp band playing New Hampshire before the Dems played a new tune, his obesity fight ala T Thompson, and a few other lame attempts to get traction would be funny if they weren't so serious. If the next possible Thompson to hit GOP trails comes onboard, Huckabee will lose all his steam. It's pretty sad when the Republicans can't find a man (it will undoubtedly be a man) who can seem All-American, tough on terror, and willing to swim upstream in political muddy waters.
So, for us, just another reason to look for candidates to speak about issues, not persons or groups, and who have done their homework on the economy and the constitution.
