I gave at (not the office) the IRS because I worked

It isn't necessary to tote that bale and shove that bar to be called a working person. All who put out effort and receive compensation are workers of some kind. If the paycheck was recorded we paid on April 15. So I agree, we shouldn't have to pay for government when we already have.
Just who is the investor class? Is it someone with a 401K who scrimped on vacations to put it there? Or those who knew how to raid the market by some "derivative" plan or other?
If we believe in fair elections, perhaps we will need to think much more carefully about giving money to candidates, even when the pennies are chicken feed. Is it possible to train candidates into thinking that they are worth more than their advertising budget? I don't know if that's possible, but I do know that if we resist making the highrollers feel like super patriots, it would help.

"People say, 'She's so successful' and 'Look at her position as a black woman.' She is a black woman who grew up in Birmingham, Ala., and said that she never experienced a day of racism in her life," Lee tells the April issue of Stuff magazine.

"Condi, stop smoking that crack!"

"I know you love your Ferragamo shoes, but come on. While people were drowning in New Orleans, she was going up and down Madison Ave. buying Ferragamo shoes. Then she went to see 'Spamalot.'"
