10 Questions for Political Bloggers
Well, in line with the recent question by Kit Seeley wondering where the women were in politics, I'd argue that the term political blogger can leave some folks out. I'd probably be labeled as a mommyblogger or personal blogger, but I discuss politics on my blog--it effects my life.
I posted an open invitation to all the major presidential candidates to come and sit down with the mommybloggers. Exactly one campaign has taken us up on the offer. John Edwards. We met with Elizabeth Edwards this weekend. Tracy Russo, his online outreach manager not only followed up with all of us, but wrote a great post capturing highlights of the event and crossposted it on the Edwards campaign blog and Daily Kos.
Since I haven't heard from any other campaign--and we have a group ready to meet at the drop of a hat--I'd say Edwards is doing the best job from the mommy/political blogger perspective.
