Typical Republican Foolishness
What your statement translates into is:
"I hate nature. I don't care if one third of our food supply is lost. Science sucks."
That is what you are saying. Let me just add that the collapse of fisheries around the world threatens another large chunk of our food supply at the same time that agriculture is being threatened.
Fortunately, not all Republicans are as foolish as to not care about America's agriculture. Bush's Agriculture Secretary is listening to the scientists (and farmers) and considers this a crisis.
