Cindy McCain is in a much better position than most abused woman to leave if she wants to. The fact that she doesn't, coupled with the MSM's pass on the story, can only encourage more men like McCain to do it and more women like Cindy to take it.

As far as debasing politics, well, politics are base. Don't confuse politics with the government or the constitution or mom and apple pie. The Bush Adm is an excellent example of influence of politics on governance. It's cynical, deceitful, and overreaching. I don't thnk you can debase it with a single dirty word.

Protect Cindy and you protect McNasty too. This story is telling; why shouldn't people know it?
