Screenshot from icasualties.orgOn Wednesday, March the 19th many of us did not mark the 5th anniversary of the war in Iraq. It was another day in which we did not remember the secrets and lies that got us into Bagdad. We don't even remember the fact that there were no weapons of mass destruction nor no Al-Qaeda to be found.
As to the Democratic Party's refusal to advance the impeachments of George Bush and Dick Cheney because it will cost them elections? Well, we already knew that the majority of Democrats aided and abetted the Bush-Cheney duo's dream of imperial power.
As long as the Democrats want to get their hands into the White House, there will always be another day to think about the death and ruin brought to this country by the war.
As well as 4,000 dead, at least 29,000 US servicemen and women have been injured in the Iraq war, which entered its sixth year last week, according to the independent Web site www.icasualties.org. Underscoring the brutality of an insurgency that flared in the aftermath of the invasion, the majority of American casualties occurred after George Bush announced the end of "major combat" in Iraq on May 1, 2003.
In the meantime, we'll avert our eyes and walk away from the 4,000 dead soldiers who died for the glory of this tragedy.

i'm so tired of this war.
I'm a Soldier in the U.S. Army and when I heard news of the 4000 death mark I became sick to my stomach. I'm lucky enough to have been to Iraq and return home to my family but so many of my fellow Soldiers have not been as fortunate. And in my heart i feel like every one of those 4000 deaths our president is to be blamed for.
I've opened up a discussion on my blog so I can talk to people and answer their questions and hopefully make people understand that not all military are supporting this war and that every one of those deaths was important and unneeded. I'd like it you'd stop by and toss in your two cents.
I'm all for defending my country but U.S. did not need to be defended from Iraq.
