Allow me to rant about Sarah Palin's appearance on SNL [UPDATED]

Note : I had to change the embeds, no thanks to the vampiric lawyers of NBC. I hope they burn in the eternal fires of hell for being such greedy bastards.

Here's Sarah in the opening. She actually comes across better than the actors.

I mean, seriously, Alec Baldwin comes across as being drunk. He can't read properly from a teleprompter or cue cards? What kind of sloppy acting was that!

Here's the Weekend Update bit in which she's completely underused.

I mean, SARAH PALIN USED TO BE AN ANCHORWOMAN! Couldn't they give her something to say? Yeah, so what about Amy Pohler. The woman should have read the "right wing" version of the news or something.

AUGH!

I feel she got screwed ---and I can't believe I am actually defending the woman. Yet I honestly believe she got either screwed by Rick "am gonna be worse than Mark Penn" Davis or the people over at SNL.

I'd like to think Douchebag Davis is the reason why she wasn't allowed to speak much on the show. It would go to show he's really Mark Penn's soulmate --if they had a soul at all.

Totally agreed

That appearance could have kicked ass. It really had so much potential. But I think it was too tightly controlled by the RNC. Shame. Could have done her some good.

Are you sure?

Are you sure that she was "underutalized". I got the feeling that sitting and watching other people be funny was all that she would agree to do. Is there any way to find this out?
However, in her defense (shocking for me!), I thought the Alec Baldwin bit was horribly sexist, although her reaction was funny. She's a politician for goodness sake, not a a centerfold. Its so inappropriate to be calling her "hot" and "sexy".
