I have four words for the GOP : John Hagee, Rod Parsley

Barbara O'Brien fisks Jonathan Martin and concludes that Obama won't get the racist vote anyway, why dwell on trying to win that constituency?

Well, because Racism, just as sex, is a currency that in this case, buys votes. A warning to racist mongers though. To quote the famous words of pop philosopher Justin Timberlake, what goes around, comes around.

Here is John Hagee twisting the Bible in order to justify the war in Iraq as a necessary war against Islam and one that has to be taken to its ultimate consequences --the elimination of Islam. Why? Well, they don't say it in the clip but to these people saving Israel is necessary so Christians can ultimately convert Jews and return Israel to the Christian Faith :

Here is Rod Parsley calling for the end of the "homosexual agenda" from McCain's "spiritual advisor" and a "strong, true, consistent conservative",

So the so-called "white" media discovered Jeremiah Wright's fire and brimstone style of Liberation Theology and have sought out to vilify it as the work of a racist and traitor. Hence, the lynch party to bring both Wright and Barack Obama down since, if Obama approves of the "scary negro", he must be one in waiting.

Well, to all those people who fear Black Power or Liberation Theology separately and see their expression in Black Theology as an abomination, I have some choice words for you : Get over it.

The United States's foreign policy did create the political conditions that led to 9/11. The United States did create the tyrant and moster they called Saddam Hussein. The United States, YOU, ME AND EVERY OTHER CITIZEN IN THIS COUNTRY is responsible for the atrocities that happen all over the world in the name of "Made In The USA" democracy.

Black Liberation Theology marries the fires of Liberation Theology, the Black Power Movement and the mission of the Civil Rights Movement to turn Christianity into an Afrocentric matrix of social justice. At no time does Black Theology advocate the "a war on Islam" in the US or the third world in the nameof Jesus, nor does it advocate eliminating from society the "cancer of homosexuality".

Yet that's exactly what two of the biggest supporters of John McCain do preach. And it's probably the reason he demurred while on Hannity & Colmes when asked to condemned Obama for being associated with Pastor Wright.

John McCain's exasperated sigh tell us everything the GOP AND THE CLINTONISTAS need to hear. If you're going to go on a smear campaign, be prepared for it to come back at you.

McCain is due some credit

I could never vote for the man, but I have to acknowledge his professionalism in at least trying, twice, to make it clear to Hannity that Obama doesn't necessarily share the views of Rev. Wright.

Even if it is based on the knowledge that if he did, it would come back to bite him.

ABSOLUTELY!

I should make that clear : McCain was a class act during the interview. He just won't take Hannity's bait. At all. It's part of his problem with the GOP : He has no patience the Hannitys and the Limbaughs that've taken over the party AND THEY KNOW IT.

QUOTES

He's gone; the policy --strategic non-communication-- may still be in place.

First, McClellan was a necessary figure in what I have called Rollback-- the attempt to downgrade the press as a player within the executive branch, to make it less important in running the White House and governing the country. It had once been accepted wisdom that by carefully "feeding the beast" an Administration would be rewarded with better coverage in the long run. Rollback, the policy for which McClellan signed on, means not feeding but starving the beast, while reducing its effectiveness as an interlocutor with the President and demonstrating to all that the fourth estate is a joke.
