Iowa makes ban on same-sex marriage anti-constitutional
This is amazing! From Unanimous ruling: Iowa marriage no longer limited to one man, one woman :: DesMoinesRegister.com :: The Des Moines Register:
"The Iowa statute limiting civil marriage to a union between a man and a woman violates the equal protection clause of the Iowa Constitution," the justices said in a summary of their decision.
And with that, Iowa court-houses have 3 weeks to change their paperwork and proceedings so they include gay couples in their marriage ceremonies.
