Sarah Palin : A lipsticked pitbull that's a scaredy cat with the press

The LA Times reports that La Palin is being embargoed by the McCain campaign on account of the republicanos not believing it is in their best interest to have her speaking to the press.  In other words, they're afraid she's going to make a mistake as Todd Harris says in the video above; because she is not ready to give her opinion on anything a Vice-President could conceivably be involved as co-pilot of the President of the United States.

This is supposedly the woman who will be a heartbeat away from the presidency and who could most possibly succeed in office the 72 year-old John McCain. This is not just another GOP and John McCain strategic blunder. It is down right scary anybody would think this woman is ready to be POTUS.

H/T to Jay Rosen who twittered this news item to my attention with this quip :

You do realize that the three guys on the ticket will be on the Sunday shows while the woman is thought too frail, right?

Exactly.

Fauxminists are the product of a power structure that only values women as long as they enhance men in power; in this case the neo-cons and christianists that hijacked the GOP. Hence the alleged "equal opportunity employment" happy Bush administration.

Alberto Gonzales was good as long as he was justifying and promoting torture. Colin Powell was down with the white homies as long as he was spreading the lie of "weapons of mass destruction". And Condoleezza Rice is useful as Bush's ultimate war enforcer.

The GOP has turned equal opportunity into another tool for  the same anti-democratic power structure that incited the Civil Rights Movement. After all, masters have always had slaves as confidants and as part of their slave-holding team.

The media appears to be

The media appears to be livid over someone who doesn't bend to their will when they think they deserve access. They have never had a blanket snub like this before & they don't know what to do about it.

So how are people in the US going to find who this woman is?

Have you ever heard of why the press and particularly TV are considered the 4th estate of our democracy?

Goes to show Republicans HATE Democracy and can't wait to do away with it.

And honestly, there's nothing to "fear" about Palin because there's nothing "there". She's the last person that could properly For The People and By The People.

Sarah Palin's view of democracy is for the christic-slogging few.

And Liza, you have a graduate degree in literature right? So you probably know her story, too and when you see how I lay it out here, you'll remember reading it all before. .

On the surface she's laughable...

and I'm quite amused by sites like this and the t-shirts they sell. I won't say I 'fear' her but I am extremely wary of a situation that puts her a heartbeat from the presidency. To me that means a country being run by her advisors (Rove anyone?) because she herself is too green/unknown for other countries (or us) to respect.
