Never mind that Judge Sotomayor was part of a unanimous appeal in the Second Circuit that wanted to uphold precedent. Never mind that Sotomayor and all the other judges felt for the firefighters and were sympathetic to their cause (aka, had empathy), yet they still were looking at the facts based on legal precedence. Never mind that Justice Ginsburg, in her dissent believes that "The Courts' order and opinion ... will have no staying power" (pages 55-56 of PDF of SOTUS decision)

I still can't wrap around my head what is it that this woman gets out of being so hateful of colored people she doesn't consider equal to herself. It truly spooks me.

I honestly see one of her kids (who are dark-skinned and asian-looking) years from now in a racially charged situation. The kind of tragic racist situation that only in her mind and world whiny liberals grouse about. That would be the worst comeuppance ever, but this woman is rushing down that road with her wrong-headed arguments.
