The short "Akeelah and the Bee"

When one of us rises by the grace of our help, the whole community rises with her.

I love this movie. I love philology. I love words. I love figuring out what they mean by finding their Latin or Greek root. It's just such and awesome movie for us geeks of Latin and Greek.

Am watching it with my son, Aidan. It's the one movie with a girl lead that my kids love. Make my nerd heart all warm and fuzzy.
