Edwards at the DNC
Democratic National Committee | John Edwards
JRE all over the place
Because I'm interested in finding out how he performs on the campaign trail, I devoted hours to listening and watching. There was (1)the DNC speech--more coherent than some of the other others but with tinges of 04 convention vagaries. And (2) the hour with Russert on Meet the Press where questions were more pointed--TV presentation came off conversationally. But (3) cued my interest on C-Span's rerun of last Wed. at Dartmouth College--having worked with college students in New Orleans (or perhaps at UNC) gave him a favorite professor aspect.
Who am I to critique a trial lawyer on declamation skills! But during the 04 campaign I found him to act in a rote manner. Elizabeth, who I also watched back then, is a natural in a town meeting setting. Thus, apparently Edwards has a campaign style which will be on a par with the competition.
The universal health proposal is now available. That needs to be downloaded and studied. It's curious that it is presented on the day when the US Budget was released, where apparently cuts in Medicare services are proposed. So something new to study.
On a lighter side, it just seems to me that nothing could have been more fortuitious for Edwards than a good spat between Clinton and Obama, brewed by the meddling MSM. If JRE doesn't end up being an angry white man, there may be hope for the group yet.

Lovely!
How nice to hear something that is actually inspiring.
