Ha Ha

Oh, God.

Albany Project reports that Team Hillary has picked, pursuant to a vote among supporters, its campaign song.

It's "You and I" by Celine fucking Dion.

So I run over into the dining room to tell the better half this. Response:

"Oh, puke - I'm definitely not voting for her now. Couldn't she have picked something worthwhile, like Independent Woman? By Destiny's Child? What is wrong with those people?"

Seriously, I'm cringing. Those image consultants that dreamed up Club 44 - the new, hip, happening group for on Hillary supporters - must be suicidal.

Update: Oh, barf. Here's the song, in its original context, an ad for Air Canada.

Words to live by

When history judges us, as a nation and as individuals, it will ask: What did we do to end poverty? How we answer this call will forever define us as a nation—showing the world how America leads or how we fail to live up to our most cherished values.
