Are YOU a Part of the Solution? You can be!

MoveOn.org was founded to support the movement to censure President Bill Clinton then move on to the business facing the nation (which included the threat of al-Qaeda, ignored by the Republicans until 9/11/2001).

Today, faced with the most corrupt and anti-Constitution administration in modern history, MoveOn.org and the target of its censure effort, President Bill Clinton, are teaming up.

"Nothing that is wrong with America can't be solved with what is right with America."
--Bill Clinton

Today and tomorrow we can try to fight what is wrong with America with what is right. The corrupt and anti-Constitution Republican Party can be fought with good, honest grassroots activism enhanced with modern telecommunications technology. President Clinton, a man I much admire even if I did not always agree with him, has the following message for all grassroots activists in every corner of the nation:

Right now, it's all about reaching out to people and MoveOn knows how to do that better than anyone. I'm writing to tell you that the Democratic candidates in the tightest, neck-to-neck races in the country are counting on you to pull them through to victory with the energy, spirit and passion that define MoveOn.

Today and tomorrow, tens of thousands of MoveOn members are getting together in living rooms and at kitchen tables to call voters in toss-up districts where just a few hundred votes could mean the difference between victory and defeat.

These are people who need just one final nudge, one more reminder, one word of encouragement to get out and vote on Tuesday.

Can you help? Join one of these house parties now and make sure every last one of them gets the call.

Let me tell you from personal experiences, the party that controls Congress matters, a lot.

That's why the Rove Republicans are spending the final hours of this campaign pouring millions into vicious, negative ads. They're savaging their opponents—with no more regard for the truth in the way they campaign than in the way they govern.

They still think they can prevail by preying on people's fears, if all else fails suppressing the vote. They want us to lose heart—to start believing we can't win. They're dreaming, because we've got their number.

If we keep working until the polls close, we can take back Congress. Then we can roll up our sleeves and start building a better future together.

–Bill Clinton

Come on folks. Spend a few hours with America's grassroots. MoveOn.org has already surpassed its goal of 5 million calls placed by election day...help them reach even more voters. Sign up now. You have nothing to lose but corrupt, Halliburton Republicans who are sacrificing our civil liberties and our soldiers for their profits.

I recommend that you call on

I recommend that you call on behalf of your local Democratic Party but not MoveOn.org. MoveOn.org is part of the problem and not the solution.

MoveOn.org has disgraced itself, and the Democratic Party, by knowingly and willfully allowing its Action Forum to be used as a platform for the most vicious imaginable anti-Semitic, racist, and anti-Catholic hate speech, such as blood libels of Jews (saying that the Talmud commands Jews to "slaughter" non-Jews), deriding prominent African-Americans as "house slaves," and calling the Pope a Nazi.

MoveOn.org tried to deny knowing about the hate speech, which they called a conservative plot to smear the organization. The problem is that MoveOn's own FAQ page for the Action Forum shows that MoveOn.org knew about the hate speech and chose to let it stand, while censoring other postings. There is additional proof as well, in the form of correspondence and eyewitness testimony.

MoveOn.org is a liability to the Democratic Party.

Whoa there, my friend!

You are not backing up your assertions in any way. You are making accusations with no evidence! Show me the evidence and I will consider what you have said. As it is, I know Jews, Catholics and blacks who are active and eager members of MoveOn.org and they don't seem to agree with your assessment.

MoveOn.org, in my experience, has been a moderate and effective voice fighting the right wing extremists. Your accusations go against everything I know about them. So, if you want to make these statements, give some evidence. As it is, your comments look like Karl Rove style smear tactics.

If you go ahead and boycott you may as well should brace yourself to risk losing your job. But to advise that as a reason not to is as wortheless as telling someone not to go to war because they may die! Obviously in fighting for anything worthy there is much risk and much sacrifice and that is what America is all about.

This is a monumental movement. Has the tumult of illegal immigrants marching helped their cause in the past? Yes it has. It brought immigrants out of the shadows and into the light. It put the 'A' for amnesty in Senate's immigration debate. What will a boycott do I am not sure but I am suspicious of all the nay sayers who tell others to be mediocre in their endeavors.

The hypocrisy of greed has led to this by allowing companies to partake in illegal hiring practices. And everyone is guilty of that from politicians to farmers to those who needed their garden hedged. This is the unfortunate backlash of a broken immigration system. We only have ourselves to blame and should stop scapegoating and criminalizing those who came here in search of a better life.
