Robert David Danning, London c. 1905?

Robert David Danning was the brother of Dora Luban and Ida Spero. He was sent over to South America at age 13 because their parents could no longer afford to take care of the children. Dora and Ida were sent to live with relatives who owned an inn. David Danning made his way to America, married and settled in California. He helped to bring the Lubans and Ida over and eventually inspired them to settle in California. David Danning had five children: Sarah (one of the first women lawyers in Los Angeles County), Ike, Harry (all star pitched for the NY Giants in the 1930's), Lena and Ben.
