And so on.

VAYA CON DIOS, Kurt! You were a storyteller, a teacher, and a friend.

You may think you've gotten off easy, my good man! But I promise to infect as many minds as I can with your pearls of nonsense, and recommend your books to every wand'rin child I find. In this way you shall live on. As you ought.

Adios, mi amigo.

And so on.

Kurt

I introduced my daughter to Kurt Vonnegut, and he became one of her favorites. Today, she e'mailed me from college to be the first to give me the news of his passing. She'll get my signed copy of Slaughterhouse 5 one of these days. We can't quote Shakespeare, but Vonnegut, he's a different story.

The United States Military seemed more afraid of gay people than they are of terrorists ... If the terrorists ever got hold of this information, they’d get a platoon of lesbians to chase us out of Baghdad.
