Is there anybody using the latest version of Firefox?

I am having one heck of a time with my upgraded version of Firefox. It runs like molasses with my site and it keeps crashing. Anybody having similar problems?

Begging for Trouble

UPDATE - no Macs here, makes a diff in this case?

We upgraded Firefox a couple of months ago on two machines, use it exclusively, no problems to speak of before or after upgrade - although we are just regular users, not programmers, and saying no problems so far is just begging for some, I guess, mutter, mutter. . .

Firefox

Yes! It is a fairly common problem. One way to kind of help it is to uninstall it, use a registery cleaner, and then reinstall it. That helped a lot though it did not solve the problem.

i have no idea what a "registery cleaner" is, but i'll snoop around my mac a bit and see what i come up with.

thanks!

Firefox 1.5 is crap

I had to uninstall FF on my Mac because it was consantly freezing up for no apparant reason; gave me some of the first system crashes I ever had. I'm back to using 1.0 and hoping the next upgrade fixes the problems.

Firefox

Could be wrong but I don't think you need a registry cleaner with a Mac, do you?

The Firefox folks are pretty cool about this sort of thing. If you have time, report the problem so they can fix it! Not that you dont' already have enough to do!

Words to live by

"Fix reason firmly in her seat, and call to her tribunal every fact, every opinion. Question with boldness even the existence of a god; because, if there be one, he must approve the homage of reason rather than of blind-folded fear. Do not be frightened from this inquiry by any fear of its consequences.... If it end in a belief that there is no god, you will find incitements to virtue in the comfort and pleasantness you feel in its exercise and in the love of others it will procure for you."
