Revision of Something tells me these arrests are not the end to the Brangelina stolen photos saga from 30 June 2006 - 8:54pm

A day or two ago I published information given to me by anonymous tipsters about a duo who may have been involved in the stealing of a digital camera memory stick with 450 private photographs from the Jolie-Pitt family's time in Namibia.

Well, there have been rumors of some arrests as reported by both The Daily News' Rush & Molloy and TMZ.com. I have yet to confirm any arrest(s), but it seems like the information we provided on our site led to one of the suspects.

Here's the story so far: The camera which held the memory stick is owned by Angelina Jolie's brother, James Haven. A series of unfortunate events happened to Haven and the camera : The camera broke, he sent it for repairs to the store where he bought it but ... oooooops! Haven forgot to take the memory stick out of the camera. The camera got sent from Malibu to a repair center in Connecticut. That's were the illustrious practitioner of extreme vanning, a Mr. Bill Keyes, pops into our story.

It seems like the self-proclaimed expert in computers found the memory stick and along with his co-worker, a Mr. Adam Beckwith, he checked out the photos; reckoned who were in them and decided to shop them around to various media outlets and bloggers, asking us the following :

I am contacting you because I have recently acquired some digital photos (450 pictures). On this memory stick are personal photos of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and their children. These photos are in thier home and on vacation, are good quality and are close up. These pictures have not been seen by anyone else. I am contacting you and several other Papers, magazines and websites to see what these photos may be worth. I am attaching 3 photos so you can verify the authenticity of them. You can contact me through this e-mail address:
Lowrdr27@XXXXX.net

Problem is, Mr. Lowrdr27 is such an expert in computer technology that he did not realize that :

  1. Shopping around private photos of people who did not give you permission to do so is an invasion of privacy and is considered illegal.
  2. If you are anyway going to shop around private pictures of celebrities, you ought not send an open mass mail with a visible list of recipients.
  3. Add to #2 another obvious faux pas : using the same email address you use on your MySpace blog and on your Extreme Vanning website may seriously get you into trouble --especially if you have deliberately omitted your name from your emails in order to appear somewhat anonymous.
  4. Last but not least, if your definition of summer enjoyment is to spend some time in a trailer parker in your souped up Wizard of Oz motif van, you may want to reconsider having celebrity lawyers hounding your ass. These people make thousands of dollars an hour off their representation of people who are worth tens if not millions of dollars more than you'll even see in your lifetime. Life is not fair and whereas you saw an opportunity to make a buck or two to get a better spot at the trailer park, the lawyers will use your sorry ass in the slammer as an example of what they can do for rich celebrities for a few thousand dollars more an hour.

I am honestly upset about this whole thing. For one, now I understand why these celebrities need all that money ---it's anyway going to end up in the pockets of lawyers they have to hire in order for them to have a semblance of a normal life.

But then you have the literally poor and unsophisticated shmucks who may now loose everything --and maybe their freedom-- because they got a little greedy. Who the hell in their right minds would do such a thing?!?

Urgh.

The insanity.

But a huge "what the f**k were you thinking!" goes out to James Haven. I am sure the guy has had diarrhea for the past week, being sick to his stomach just thinking his faux pas was a major betrayal of his sister's privacy. Which is why I can now understand why some celebrities end up with a gazillion assistants and hangers-on. My blog, they need them to keep an eye on each other so they don't go messing around royally like poor little James.

Well, let's see where this story goes and how it ends. Since already some people in the press think the media monster called Brangelina is bad for freedom of the press, let's see what exactly the lawyers and their clients end up doing.

Geezus frigging spikes in a chicken basket.

The insanity, indeed.

Words to live by

This was included in an email from Jack Carter's Campaign for Nevada Senate. I would just LOVE to see little Bush facing down TR and say he was unpatriotic. TR would punch the daylights out of little Bushie!

In 1918, during World War One, former Republican President Teddy Roosevelt said:

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."
