Over at a Republican biased polling place [1] there has suddenly been a big shift in their Senate predictions. For ages they have been estimating that Dems would pick up two or three Senate seats...at best. That doesn't count Lieberman as a Democrat, of course. The Republicans have been seeing it as a pretty good chance, though far from certain, than Dems would pick up Montana, Ohio and Pennsylvania Senate Seats, maybe pick up Rhode Island, and probably lose New Jersey.
Their predictions had held largely steady for quite some time. Then came Foley's sleaze scandal where a sitting Republican congressman was caught soliciting sex with a minor. And the Republican leadership, which may have known about the scandal as far back as 2000, has been lying about it and covering it up.
Suddenly, this Republican biased election prediction site sees Democrats winning Montana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Missouri AND Tennessee. They also see Democrats holding on to New Jersey and catching up fast in Virginia. Let me emphasize that anyone who wants to help Democrats win in Montana [2], Ohio [3], Pennsylvania [4], Rhode Island [5], Missouri [6], Tennessee [7], New Jersey [8] and Virginia [9] can click on the above named states and donate/volunteer through my Act Blue lists.
The same Republican site is now predicting are slipping in Gubanatorial races. It looks like Dems might pick up 6 states but lose 2 unless we can shore ourselves up in Oregon and Michigan.
And they are predicting Dems will pick up 12 seats from Republicans in Congress, though MANY more look within our reach. The states where there are the most number of close races are Florida [10], Indiana [11], and New York [12] (which I have been predicting as being a battlefield for MONTHS), with three very close House races each, and Ohio [13] and Pennsylvania [14] with FOUR close house races each. These five states ALONE have 17 very close House races! Once again, you can click on the above named states to donate/volunteer to critical races and make the Republicans sweat even more.
I should note that these predictions are being made BY REPUBLICANS. Democratic prediction sites are even more optimistic. Democratic predictions are that we have a shot at three House seats in Connecticut [15] as well. Getting out the Dem vote in those districts will also help Ned Lamont.
