I have recently taken the leap from the ivory tower to the bustling streets of Taipei, where I love the night markets. ... and a proud member for 2 years 11 weeks

I recently finished a Ph.D. in Chinese language and culture at the University of Pennsylvania. In May, I will begin a new career at a NPR-like shortwave radio station in Taipei, called Radio Taiwan International. I am fluent in Chinese and enjoy reading modern and classical Chinese. Since 2003, I have actively followed American politics, especially on the web, and volunteered with MoveOn during the 2004 election.
